It is known as a continuing resolution (cr) and prevents a government shutdown that would otherwise occur if the fy2025 appropriations bills have not been enacted when. But the four corners, as they’re called, the leaders of the house and senate panels have been trying to meet and are working towards some sort of resolution there.
